Donald's speech on War- My 15 year old son wrote this speech and read it to his class at school

Donald my son who is 15 wrote this about the war:
Pro War is Ignorance
I want to discuss a globalized obstruction on our society, an
obstruction powerful enough to exclude any anti-right wing
establishments to civilians as yourselves in our nation, sadly this
obstruction is war. At this very moment the U.S is spending millions of
dollars to pursue war each day. Our president has initiated various
invasions on the middle east without approval of our allies with a
tangential reason to put a stop to terrorism, to subtract dictatorship,
to establish a democracy, or for our protection, and not to save lives.
War has turned the U.S into a justification of nationalism. America is
now regarded by most of the world as the #1 threat to world peace.

Should our country have done this without the support of the UN and our
allies? The war terror could go on forever, as long as there are people
willing to because they don't like us.
Pro war is a completely ignorant excuse to go out and murder and
slotter and kill each other. Overall we are human beings and we need to
live unified as humans beings and not killers not murders. There is no
excuse to execute each-other for wealth and power.Do we have the right
to kill innocent people in the name of freedom? Money and lives should
not be spent if our security is not exactly threatened. Pro war has
brought our country to the lowest of the low. America doesn't stand for
justice anymore in the world. Pro war saturated Americans have brought
this war upon themselves by acknowledging false propaganda and just
being careless, this carelessness is what will reinstate the draft. By
tampering with individuals moral thoughts, people will continue to
believe which enhances pro war by a massive majority of the people
which will lead to more killing. This will create a wall a resentment
around America, and soon when our country has crossed the line America
will put it's citizens in danger of another 9/11 once again. This will
give America an excuse to invade more countries and the scary fact is
America will let it's citizens parish just for an excuse to kill more
and invest profits for national American corporations.
Soon our Army is going to attack Iran and North Korea in the name of
"protecting freedom" which knocks our troops down lower and lower until
we can't fight off the war we began. America will have no choice but to
reinstate the draft if we decide to stretch out military further by
attacking more countries.
Which leaves only one answer to unity over greed and war. Before you
think about pro war and profits, think about our country, think about
our democracy, our freedom. It's honestly that simple! Why do people
have to be such killing animals?.We don't even have a fair democracy
anymore. The people are being cheated and lied to.
America is making purposely making it difficult for minorities to go to
school and find a career , therefor leaving military the only option
open forAmerica's minorities, making war their only option for a life.
All that being said, so many pro war Americans are believing and
supporting our troops, giving America the right to do whatever it wants
without regard for anyone else's opinions.
We can only dream for a better day..................

Barbara Boxer and the Foreign Relations Comittee's confirmation hearings.

Dear Clarita,
I can't thank you enough for all of your effective work during the recent debate over Condoleezza Rice's nomination as Secretary of State. Your support means so much to me.
More than 94,000 Americans from across the country signed my petition and stood together to demand the truth from Condoleezza Rice. It was truly an overwhelming response --much more than I could have anticipated.
And you made a difference. You gave me the voice I needed to ask the tough questions during the Foreign Relations Committee's confirmation hearings. And you gave the entire United States Senate the voice it needed to take its "advice and consent" responsibility seriously. In fact, Condoleezza Rice received 13 votes against her confirmation -- the most votes against any Secretary of State's nomination since 1825.
Two weeks ago, who would have thought that Condoleezza Rice's nomination would allow us to have a full debate about our policy in Iraq? Who would have thought that we'd have the chance to truly expose all of the misstatements and misjudgments that led us into that conflict and continue to plague this Administration to this very day?
The Republican Senate leadership intended to easily approve Dr. Rice's nomination in a routine voice vote last Thursday afternoon, after President Bush's Inauguration and before the Inaugural balls got into full swing.
But you didn't let them ram this nomination through the Senate. You forced the Republican leadership to give us the debate we wanted on the floor of the United States Senate, and you gave us the opportunity we desperately needed to hold Dr. Rice and the Bush Administration accountable for their failures in Iraq and in the war on terrorism.
The American people deserved no less.
As you and I both know, this is just one more of the many battles we'll be having as we fight for our nation's future. So I ask you to stick with me -- we're going to need to work together to make our voices heard and build a better America.
I look forward to standing with you in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
In Friendship,
Barbara Boxer
U.S. Senator

Letter from Democratic Party about Social Security benefits

Dear Clarita,

You are speaking loud and clear. So far, more than 70,000 of you have signed our petition calling on President Bush to disavow the notion of tying Social Security benefits to race or gender.

Democrats were outraged when Rep. Bill Thomas (R-CA), chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee and Bush's point man in Congress on Social Security, suggested that the amount of Social Security checks should be tied to the race or gender of the person receiving it.

We're just a few thousand people away from reaching our goal of 100,000 signatures to give to President Bush. If you haven't already signed the petition, please sign it now:

http://www.democrats.org/action/

And once you sign the petition, be sure to send a message to your friends urging them to sign:

http://www.democrats.org/action/tellafriend/

Let's send a message to President Bush: It's time for him to stand up and tell America that tying Social Security benefits to race and gender is wrong.

Sincerely,

Terry McAuliffe
Chairman
