Condolences , Asia -Sri Lanka, India, Thailand, Indonesiaa, the maldives, Eastern Coast of Africa; "Lead me from untruth to....

"Lead me from untruth to truth, From darkness to light, From death to Immortality". Hindu verse

As a man casts off worn-out garments and takes others that are new, even so the embodied one casts off worn-out bodies and passes on to others new.
This no weapons wound; This no fire burns; This no waters wet, This no wind doth dry....
For certain is this death of the born, and certain is the birth of the dead; therefore what is unavoidable thou shouldst not regret. {From The Gita}

Ghandi read the following poem by Shelley
to a Christian gathering in India:
Stand ye calm and resolute
Like a forest close and mute,
With folded arms and looks which are
Weapons of unvanquished war.
...........
And if then the tyrants dare,
Let them ride among you there,
Slash, and stab, and maim and hew,-
What they like, that let them do.

With folded arms and steady eyes,
And little fear, and less surprise,
Look upon them as they slay,
Till their rage has died away.

Date: Mon, 27 Dec 2004 20:08:18 +0000

In reply to your email bearing good news

Dearest friend,
Thank you for sharing your happiness with me that Ukrainians are celebrating " DEMOCRACY" and Yuschenko is now president!!! . I am now sharing this good news with my family and friends.
I was so happy for you I cried like a baby. I am getting to sentimental. Is it me or is it that there is just so much going on all at once? So much intensity and extremes all around us.
I am so happy for you and all of the people in Ukraine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love you all!
I am also glad my comment about birthdays could be of some help to you.
I must say, for being so much younger than myself you have brought a lot of light into my life!!!! I have learned and grown a lot through our friendship. Thank you so much. And thank you to TIG for making our friendship possible!
Hello to all your family and Blessings to all.
You have proved my theory that "GOOD ENERGY IS NEVER LOST".
Keep in touch
Peace,
Clarita

The impossible can become reality

OSA is a school that was funded by Mayor Jerry Brown in Oakland California
USA. It is comparable to a school that would cost thousands of dollars. Families who can't afford it have a chance to send their children to a good school with an excellent fine arts program.
-------------- Original message --------------

It takes work to keep a Dream alive. Read on and see that prayers can be aswered.
The following letter was written by my fiancee Barry Finnerty. I posted it knowing it might give inspiration to others who work with youth. It pertains to OSA, Oakland School of the Arts, which our kind Mayor Jerry Brown funded. He made it possible for young people, who would have otherwise been deprived, to have the opportunity to receive a high quality education with a strong emphasis on fine arts. We are forever grateful to him for this.

Letter to the editor...by Barry Finnerty:......................

Our group thinks that what OSA is trying to do is truly magnificent
and highly commendable. A lot is demanded of the students there to
show their commitment to the arts (school hours are 8AM to 5:30 PM
every day but Wednesdays, when they get out at 3;45), but in return
they get a lot. Every kid who goes there gets the use of a Mac
iBook computer loaded with Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, FinalCut Pro,
thousands of dollars worth of software. Jerry
Brown thought it worthwhile to put funds that could have been spent in
a lot of other ways throughout the Oakland school system into a
program that could help talented kids in Oakland develop into the
great artists of the future. For the children who go there and have
the motivation and desire to take advantage of what they are being
offered,
it is a fantastic opportunity.

OSA is a new school. Of course there have been growing pains. And in a
school where the hours are a lot longer than
in a more conventional public school, it would be reasonable to expect
that there would be some teacher turnover as well. The school is in
the process of moving into a great new space in the old Fox Theater
which will not be finished for another year, and is currently holding
classes in a group of portable buildings until the transition is
complete. And of course, with a program as ambitious as this, they are
always in need of more funds. Parents and students are continually
being asked to participate in various ways to raise money, from bake
>sales to student performances where admission is charged.

The parents who are bellyaching about their problems with this
extraordinary oasis of artistic opportunity in the overcrowded and
beleaguered Oakland public school system would do well to join in the
process of trying to make it a better place for their kids than in
circulating anonymous complaints. Their disparaging and misleading
information hurts those of us who want this school and our children to
be a part of what we hope will be the rich artistic future of the Bay
Area.

Re: Ask Senator Barbara Boxer to Stand Up and Support an Election Investigation

Here is some information I would like to share on what is being done about the election fraud
This e-mail was sent to from the Democratic Party. I was sent another one after thanking me for responding to their request.

Dear Clarita Zarate,
Questions are swirling around whether the election was conducted honestly
or not. We need to know -- was it or wasn't it?
When Congress reconvenes in January, at least 14 members of the House of
Representatives will challenge the validity of the 2004 election. They
will request an immediate investigation into many problems and
irregularities encountered in the election.
According to the Electoral Count Act of 1887, one senator and one House
Representative are required to contest an election prior to inauguration.
We have the representatives; we still need a senator. Please let Senator
Barbara Boxer know that we want her to be that senator.
The signed petitions will be delivered to her in person by a coalition of
representatives from a variety of concerned organizations and individuals.
Join us in encouraging Senator Boxer :

Dear Clarita,

Thank you for signing our petition!. Please go to the 'Tell Others'
button and send our easy pre-formatted email to all your friends and
family, and visit www.ContestTheVote.org often for updates on our petition
drive.

Sincerely,

The team at www.ContestTheVote.org

Thanks.

GOOD NEWS

Good News!!! This email was sent to me.

Victory in Washington State!
Dear Clarita,
Thanks to the overwhelming outpouring of support from Democrats across the country, Democrat Chris Gregoire will be the next governor of Washington.
Your support helped Washington Democrats make sure every vote was counted by funding a hand recount of every vote in the entire state. The hand count corrected a number of mistakes from the earlier machine count and made it clear that Chris Gregoire received the most votes in the election.
Gregoire's opponent, Dino Rossi, has not yet conceded, and Republicans aren't ruling out further legal challenges to the final count. But with every vote being counted, we now know that Christine Gregoire is the choice of the people of Washington, and it couldn't have happened without you.
Thank you,
Terry McAuliffe
